Very much known places of interest in the region are the castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, and Castle Linderhof. Wonderful decorated churches are the Wieskirche, the church of Steingaden and Rottenbuch. Cloister Ettal, the famous passion play city Oberammergau, the Olympic City Garmisch-Partenkirchen the highest mountain of Germany, the Zugspitze are worth a visit.
